Today I decided to blog about a book I just finished reading called ONE DAY! Its a story of girl meets boy and what started off as a simple one time encounter that leads to a wonderful friendship that ends in a tragic love story. To me this is of two people who spend a life time wanting and needing each other. Dn’t we all feel like we experience that once before? someone that makes our heart race just by a simple stair? so reading this book was one of those “I cant wait to find out what happens next.” I lovely read as far as my interests go. I even found myself discussing it with my friend at the salon and not surprised she had read and loved it too.
The main characters are Emma who is this not so fashionable girl who doesn’t have much coming out of graduation and wants to be a writer (boring right) and a handsome young go getter type guy Dex who’s looking for an enjoyable ride and has it all handed to him. A one night stand that they both find unforgettable! Leaves her feeling full of him, but not enough to mention it and him who enjoys her company but cant/nor wants to commit to her in his early life. Put it this way she wasn’t his first option! not sure if this is because he wanted the simpler way and maybe knew that as simply as she looked on the outside the inside is where the work was needed. This book left me with a wonderful impression because I found every girl feels in ways similar to her character and ever guy wants to be him. He’s got the moves the looks and the money! she’s got the confidence and the brains to be herself. I liked this about her!
not to mention when she applied herself as she grew she realized that the beauty she possessed surpassed any good looker. I dnt want to spoil the book cause its a good book and I think everyone will take different things from it but I will say that its very real and very possible and although there are some curve balls throughout the book that may leave you a little shocked and in wonder I promise this one is a good one. The movie is released on Nov 29 2011 on DVD so i’m looking forward to seeing it but doubt it will be anything like the book. Just a quick post since I’ve been slacking! or busy either way. Happy Reading!
